I’m Haevyn (she/her), a UX designer based in Portland, Oregon.
I’m a Gullah Geechee, multi-disciplinary creative with a love for fitness, music, and fashion. While I’m new to UX design, I’m transitioning into tech after a career in HR, nonprofit operations, and digital equity advocacy. My work for over half a decade has been centered around understanding people’s needs and building systems that support access, inclusion, and meaningful engagement. My hope is to bring that same mindset to user experience design and craft digital tools that are intuitive, accessible, and made for everyone. Through my background in art and community-based work, one of my main goals is for my designs to blend creativity with a deep focus on user-centered design principles that consider diverse needs and abilities.
What sets me apart is my ability to listen deeply, collaborate across disciplines, and advocate for users, especially those historically left out of the tech industry. Whether I’m designing a mobile app or conducting research to support access to digital literacy, my hope is to lead with curiosity, care, and clarity.
I'm currently looking for entry-level UX design roles where I can grow and create experiences that empower people!
